Quick answerThe Learner’s Permit section contains 250 questions in five 50-question sets. The Final Exam section contains 360 True/False questions in four 90-question sets. The official full licence written test also includes hazard-prediction items, so use our bank as core rule practice rather than the only preparation.

The questions include explanations, categories and embedded figures for road signs, lane markings, signals and intersection situations. Languages include English, Urdu, Hindi, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.

Official test structure

The learner-permit knowledge test for an ordinary licence uses 50 questions. For the ordinary full-licence written examination, official materials commonly refer to 95 questions and a 90-point pass standard: 90 written questions plus five hazard-prediction illustration problems that carry additional points.

Our Final Exam sets intentionally contain the 90 True/False written questions. Add separate hazard-prediction practice before the official test.

Best study method

  1. Complete one full set without hints.
  2. Review every explanation, including questions you guessed correctly.
  3. Use category practice for weak areas.
  4. Repeat missed questions after a break.
  5. Practise figures and road signs visually.
  6. Take timed sets until you consistently score above the official threshold.

Choosing a test language

Tokyo and other prefectures have expanded multilingual knowledge testing, but supported languages, advance-contact rules and locations differ. Studying in your strongest language is helpful, yet learn core Japanese road words and signs because the real driving environment is Japanese.

Frequently asked questions

Does the practice app contain official exam questions?

It is a study and practice resource based on driving-test materials, not an official police examination service.

Why are there 90 Final Exam questions in each set?

The sets focus on the 90 written True/False items. The official full test may also contain hazard-prediction illustration items.

Will my progress sync between devices?

The current web app stores progress locally in the browser, so it may not transfer automatically.

Can I use the tests offline?

The practice page is designed as a self-contained web app, though browser and hosting behaviour can affect installation and offline caching.
